A Twitter stream that supposedly featured music producer Phil Spector blogging from prison after his murder conviction has proved to be fake. What a surprise!

The anonymous prankster admitted that he wasn’t really Spector, and that the producer hadn’t actually befriended a cockroach named ‘Wilson’. Sadly the blog no longer exists online, so you can’t read the suggestions to Everett True that he should listen to The Vines, or the blunt final post:

“Twitter you need to start doing something to combat fake accounts. If I was a malicious person I could have caused damage.”
