Hey, my name is Torrie and I’m a bit of a music tragic. Well, let’s be honest - I’m a LOT of a music tragic. I wouldn’t back myself on Rockwiz or Spicks and Specks, but I do know a bunch of stuff about music. I was also recently called an “ageing mod” by a good friend of mine, which was nice. My resemblance to Nick Cave notwithstanding, I am sadly devoid of any genuine music talent myself so I live vicariously through others.

So welcome to my first ever blog. Auditorrie - get it? I’m quite the wordsmith! And I quite like the idea of blogging about music, but if I know anything about myself, it’s that my time management skills are poor and I can be very flakey. Here’s hoping my passion for music overcomes the my natural laziness and inertia.

I hope to bring you some news - but mostly my views and opinions - about what’s good, what’s great, and what we could totally do without. I also hope to showcase the music scene in Australia, specifically my home town of Brisbane, which is fast becoming one of the world’s musical hot spots. Finally, if all goes according to plan, I’m going to follow the lives and careers of unsigned Australian artists as they strive to make it big. Let’s hear it for the best-laid plans of mice and men!
